Description
We are looking for a medium weight DTP Operator to join a busy design studio based in Cape Town. This studio produces a broad spectrum of design work including brochures, packaging and branding work. The ideal applicant will have an exceptional eye for detail and should be completely competent in preparing artwork for print.
Skills Required
Requirements:
- Illustrator (CS3/CS4), Photoshop (CS3/CS4), InDesign (CS3/CS4), Freehand on Mac
- Strong in typesetting, layout and repro
- Comprehensive knowledge of preparing jobs for litho print
- Attention to detail
- Understanding of 3D packaging would be ideal
- Professional, good communication and able to work under pressure and according to deadlines
- Be responsible and also be in charge of archiving and catalogue final artwork to DVD
- Good knowledge of software essential and of hardware would be advantageous
- Work with a team
- A design flair would be an advantage but must have an ability to take design look and feel through to final print-ready product.
