Description
A large publishing house is looking for a dynamic and experienced Regional Sales Manager

•Aligns the sales operating plan FOR THE WEEKLY TITLES in Cape Town with the National Sales operating plan (weekly) and manages the performance and output of the sales team in line with this plan
•To ensure that the team reaches the set monthly and annual targets.
•Manage successful sales on all supplements and special features on weekly titles.
•Develop new sales strategies for the weekly titles in collaboration with the Regional business manager (Cape Town)
•Assesses, hires, coaches and develops salespeople capable of delivering against the company’s revenue and margin objectives
•Requires sales personnel to conduct customer portfolio analyses to identify different customer segments, including key accounts
•Requires sales personnel to focus on defined, profitable customer segments and develop appropriate account plans for different categories of customer
•Ensures that sales personnel adhere to prescribed sales and support processes to execute the chosen Go-To-Market strategy. Provides appropriate training and coaching to equip sales personnel to carry out these roles
•Assists with/conducts key price and service negotiations, complaints resolution with customers
•Ensures that key customer relationships are developed and maintained
•Prepares and manages selling expense budget
•Deploys the sales compensation plan that drives the appropriate behaviors, supporting the selected Go-To-Market strategy
Skills Required
Skills and Knowledge:
Relevant Tertiary qualification - Sales & Marketing, Commerce, Sales M+4 qualification
5 years experience in senior sales management and/or senior key account management
A passion for media and brands
