•Proactive management of selected accounts – business and consumer
•Proactive innovative approach to accounts – idea generation – and exhibit ongoing desire to impress client and team with new inspiring ideas
•Regular and effective maintenance of client relationships (retention)
•Client reporting
•Writing media releases; blurbs; feature articles etc with accuracy, sophisticated use of language, near perfect spelling and grammar
•Effective maintenance (nurturing) of existing media relationships and exhibit constant desire to forge new press relationships
•Active personal use of social & online media, and developing detailed understanding
•Media appointments
•Generating and pitching angles of value to media
•Generation of ‘big ideas’ (to wow client and media)
•Call and manage agency brainstorms
•Utilise integrated approach to accounts and agency talent
•Ongoing maintenance and updating of media lists
•Updating publicity trackers regularly
•Updating of Chase hours daily
•Proof reading / editing work for junior members of the team
•Proof reading own work to a high standard before sending to senior member of team to proof
•Commitment to undertaking Vision Day tasks on an ongoing basis
•Reading of good quality newspapers (15 minutes in morning) and literature
•Accuracy in all emails sent to client and press
•Event management when required
•Collecting items, delivering items to magazines, clients etc
•Commitment to complete customer satisfaction
Skills Required
•At least 3 years PR experience in a PR consulancy or agency
•Good understanding of busines and consumer PR
•Good writing and communication skills
•Good media relations
