| A large auditing firm is looking for a Communications and PR Executive. The key objective of the role is to provide outstanding communications and PR to support to a dynamic team of advisory professionals in South Africa. Key criteria are to build the brand and the profiles of various specialists, ensuring that a consistent firm image and positioning are maintained. | Skills Required | |||
| Responsibilities: • Management, coordination and implementation of a broad range of communications and public relations activities including: - Researching and analysing market and financial trends and developing and coordinating communications strategies for highest ROI - Developing an annual corporate communications plan and budget and executing and tracking progress - Writing, editing and/or reviewing articles and ensuring targeted distribution to the media, as required - Reputation management – proactive and reactive, as required - Developing and maintaining strong relationships within our chosen media - Championing a high level of communications and PR support to senior management and the marketing team - Working with our external media relations consultants and other suppliers - PR metrics and reports, as required • Managing projects, including: - Developing strategies, budgets and action plans - Overseeing events and exhibitions relevant to your portfolio • All aspects of producing a range of corporate publications and marketing collateral, including: - Conceptualising, writing, editing and managing production and distribution, as required - Reviewing articles authored by specialists and marketing executives - Briefing and overseeing layout and design, working with internal design executive - Developing and managing an annual publications schedule for the firm • General administrative duties, including: - Providing guidance and/or delegating to the marketing support team - Training, as required - Maintaining time sheets Skills and experience required • Relevant communications/marketing or allied qualification (degree preferred) • 4-7 years of communications, PR or journalism experience • Knowledge of the financial services or allied industries would be extremely beneficial • Excellent working knowledge of PR processes and working with the media • Superior writing and communication skills essential • Excellent organizational and project management skills • Proficiency on MS Office Suite • Previous project or people management experience an asset |
